Aluminium-Assisted Alloying of Carbon Steel in Submerged Arc Welding: Application of Al-Cr-Ti-Cu Unconstrained Metal Powders

چکیده
Al assisted alloying of carbon steel in Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) by Al-Cr-Ti-Cu unconstrained metal powders is applied. A base case without powder additions compared to two addition schedules, Al-Cu-Ti and Al-Cu-Ti-Cr. used as a deoxidiser element control the oxygen partial pressure at weld pool–molten flux interface ensure that most Ti Cr transferred into pool ppm O controlled within acceptable limits 200 500 O. The likely sequence alloy melt formation deduced from relevant phase diagrams. effect Fe initial Al-Cu-Ti-Cr illustrated thermochemical calculations. Increased deposition productivity with SAW confirmed. rates increased 19% 40% when were applied same heat input absence additions.
